Circuit wiring models uses these shapes to show logical AND, OR and NOT gates... So with an AND gate, you have two input wires. The one output wire will only be powered if both input wires are powered.
Computer chips use logic gates in the millions (though most use NAND (not-and) gates, as combining multiple NAND gates can get you just about every other possible circuit type)
