The tan lines are really doing something for me, and it's not what you'd think..

I still preferred A

Yeah I hear ya. I liked A too, but i thought it just didnt give me as many options for animating and giving the character a personality.

Pretty cool! I'm sure you already noticed, since this is just a test animation, but his upper arms should cross in front of his body, not behind it.

In this case, it shouldn't matter, I'd say. It's a cartoonish character and it's normal to not look proportional, and its body to not be anatomically correct. I mean, if you're going to pick on this, you might want to mention that his arms are orangutan-sized, and his neck can't possibly support his head.

That's what immediately stuck out to me on a primal level. If you'd read OP's response, it's clearly something they've thought about as well. Anyway, I'm glad nothing bothers you because in cartoons nothing matters ever.

Yeah, I played with that a lot. The way it is drawn you want the shoulder to be behind, but the arm in front. Im going to have to use some tricks to get this better.

I was thinking about that, and maybe there's a way to make the torso lines at his shoulders sort of shrink or disappear as his arms cross over?
