after scraping, I can't see the glue joint. Can you? that is the point of all this effort.

took some adjusting to get this jointed and fitting properly, but you can't rush it. you have to go slow to go fast.

first flattening the bottom which is the same process for the top. plane across grain with the jack, and with the grain with the smoother.
