Oh dude, as a man about your age if that's your birth year in your username, if you've never had a regular pedicure, get one. My feet were so baby smooth afterwards, it was surreal, and the process is nice! I go with my wife every now and then, it's a delightful treat.
We cannot reasonably kill ~30% of the US population. We are going to have to talk things out eventually.
What happened to her was a travesty and totally undeserved, but some of her feminist frequency stuff was ah... poorly researched at best and suspiciously selective if you want to be less charitable. I would definitely not give her "always honest". The reaction was definitely wild, though.
Nah, dawg, that's some bunk. My wife and I definitely had some struggles earlier in our relationship, but we have spent the last 15 years helping each other become better people. I look at who I was when we met and wonder how she stuck around. Only thing building here is love. She feels the same, which I know because we talk about things.
#31 WoW, the breakup of The Rockers? That is a DEEP cut, I love it. Team Jannetty for life.
I vote democrat in every election, I was pretty clear in saying they're the better option, for many reasons, but yes, especially for social equality. But I'm not satisfied going "well they aren't literal natives, so that's good enough for me!" You should want better things for yourself, too. We all deserve better.
You're right, 'slightly' is an exaggeration, but even when democrats are fully in charge, the rights of those groups only marginally improve, because that's not what their corporate owners care about either. There are some democrats who genuinely care and are great, but the general democratic establishment is terribly corrupt. They are very obviously still the better choice right now, but we also can and should strive for better for ourselves.
You're entitled to be mad about things people have done in the name of religion, or in many cases what religions have done in the name of people who lead them, because there's a lot of wacky shit out there. But there is a difference. Cults tend to be focused around a single charismatic leader who holds them together, and is siphoning money or power or sexual kink or whatever from them. There are certainly cults within religion, but calling all organized religion a cult is just inaccurate.
Listen, I don't mind using they/them for my NB homies, and anyone who refuses is an asshole. That said, while it was clear in this example, that's because we are used to they/them pronouns *for unknown persons*; using they/them pronouns to refer to a single, known individual can and does lead to confusion in some sentences. This can often be rectified by using the person's name if the pronoun might be unclear, but saying "people it works perfectly there are no problems" doesn't help anybody.
I'm so used to potheads vehemently denying weed has any side effects at all that I took his opening totally at face value and was caught off guard and delighted by the closing.
That's partly on you, dude. At some point, you just have to realize we are on a downward spiral, and it's just going to continue to get worse.
I grew up as an atheist/agnostic (I prefer to call myself apathetic) in the South, and 90% of religious people I met were totally chill and fun to hang out with. Of the remaining 10%, they were split 50/50 between quiet but obvious disapproval and desperate attempts at conversion, sometimes taking the fire and brimstone approach but usually not. For most religious people, religion is a personal thing. The loud crackpots are a strain on everyone, don't let imgurs hate boner steer you wrong.
Here's a German lullaby. It can be a beautiful language, and general conversation is no harsher than most other languages. You just hear mostly extreme examples. https://youtu.be/LTlb1ABoKqE?si=cBan-by8bzEV4GXe
Because this pie was straight up bombastic,And the spike in interest in said pie was drastic,In that same year Barbara opened a bar,And called it Barbara's Rhubarb Bar.
I don't think anyone is saying they can't tell the far left and far right apart, they're saying they can't tell the American right (far right) and the American left (center right) apart. They're still wrong, but it's much more reasonable. It's now "I want everything to stay the same" vs "I want everything to stay the same... for straight whites while everyone else dies". Still bad, but if you stop listening halfway through...
Vocal fry is nails on a chalkboard for me. If someone sounds like that in a video or something, no problem, just watch something else. When it's in person, I die a little bit inside, but hey, I'm sure there are things about me that rub other people the wrong way too. We do what we can with the tools we have.
I'm a total breast man, so some part of me sympathizes, but come on, dude. We're pro-bodily autonomy here; she can do what she wants.
I, a man, was maid of honor at my good friend's wedding. We all just called me the maid of honor except for the parents, who wanted to use "attendant of honor" instead. But everyone else just let me feel pretty.
Doesn't seem controversial to me, nothing hurts a good cause like a terrible person supporting it.
We've been in decline for a good while, Trump turned it from slow decline to falling off a cliff.
I always up vote people who admit mistakes, good for you.
The problem in America is we have a far right and a moderate right, so the difference is a lot murkier. They're still not the same; the far right is still much worse, but the moderate right doesn't look that appealing either.
Part of the reason we don't like cops is they keep killing people, I'm not sure killing them is the appropriate response.
I don't think I can come with you on old games being better, there are a ton of great new games every year these days. They're just rarely coming from the AAA space. Most indie games aren't as infected by the drive for increased profits and so are free to just do cool shit.
Dude as someone who has spent 20 years working on games, the monetization of everything fucking sucks. AAA gaming is a hellscape.
My old person trait is I don't want any more apps. I recently bought a bed, and the delivery guy showed me where the Bluetooth button on my bed to connect it to the app on my phone was. There's an app for my toaster oven. My car has an app. My fridge has an app. Stop making apps!
Alien came out the year after I Spit On Your Grave had a theater release. Yes, it's a horror movie, but still, that inciting incident getting a theater release is fucking crazy. So yeah, I think it needed to be said.
I do that, because the alternative is worse, but I reserve the right to complain bitterly about it, to talk shit about how the DNC are fucking us, and to remind everyone that 'better than Trump' is a pathetically low bar that we shouldn't be satisfied with. Please vote in primaries, and donate to progressive candidates if you're able.
The best relationship advice I ever got came from my mother, and it was "if you aren't going to remember what the fight was about in 5 years, it's not worth being mad about now." Absolute game changer for me, no more fights about stupid petty shit because I'm being stubborn. Maybe not universally applicable because other people are more evolved, but I'm sure at least some other people could benefit from hearing it.
I'm not religious at all, but you're painting with a very broad brush here. There are plenty of religious people whose beliefs drive them to be better people. Is it all or even most? No, probably not, but I'd argue the main issue is just that people suck, and some sucky people use religion as a bludgeon. The non-religious sucky people find different blunt objects. There are people out there for whom religion is a great good, and 'abolish religion' posts tend to ignore those.
