My favorite color really is glitter.

Cats domesticated themselves. Have you ever met a cat? They don't take orders.

Agreed. People really like trying to be the first to spread news of a persons death. It's not just online when celebrities die. I've also seen this irl with people I know when somebody we knew just died. I don't get it.

Humans are worse. Talk about invasive.

Do you think that since his purpose was to combat racism then he'd be ok in 2025 with revising the words due to the fact that the words themselves have been mostly combated?

My comment includes my thoughts about both subjects. The separator there begins with "It's similar to..."
No, they're not the same thing, hence the word "similar".

"If a person can't..." - I live in NC and I can tell you that parents intentionally perpetuate racism and sexism. Kids hear the N word all day every day in their homes. My own grandparents refused to let us approach the houses of "colored people" when taking us trick or treating as young children. Since I'm white, people get feel comfortable using the N word around me. The only thing I can do is call them out on it and demonstrate that someone who looks like them is not ok with that.

Historical accuracy DOES perpetuate. Example: a black actor in 2025 being cast in a historically accurate period show / film would be limited by their race as to which roles they could portray. Is historical accuracy worth continued oppression?

That's a fine argument, but not relative to my comment. 1. I said I believe he'd be ok with updating the language - my reasoning is that racism is not so blatant today as it used to be. 2. I said "it's similar to" making modern media - Twains books are not modern media.

lol but I DID say both pee and squirt come from the bladder. I likened the female bladder to the male urethra. There are other fluids that come from the vagina and the skeins glands, but the bladder produces both pee and squirt, it's just that pee is concentrated because it trickles in and squirt fluid is a rapidity filled so it's very diluted. I bet the fact that there are testosterone producing glands on the kidneys has something to do with it but hasn't been studied yet.

#3 The fluid comes from the bladder filling rapidly during arousal so it's not the concentrated trickle-filled regular urine. Just like the male urethra expels both urine and semen, the female bladder creates both urine and magical squirt potion.

This is a very complex topic. On one hand, there's historical accuracy. On the other hand, there's perpetuation.
I like to think that if Mark Twain were alive today, he'd be ok with substituting the words since they're no longer socially acceptable to use publicly. It's similar to making historical shows/movies. Should a modern actor only be allowed to portray a slave in any pre-emancipation period piece? There's a difference between making media about racism and making racist media.

Alcoholism in general causes GI bleeding, not just the cheap stuff. I learned about it from the Ray Liotta episode of ER.

I should have been married to someone whose job offers insurance and be on their plan as a covered spouse. That's how HE had insurance - through his wife's job. I still can't wrap my mind around being anti-Obamacare ("welfare") bc individuals receive stipends to help pay for private insurance and being pro-PPP funds (corporate welfare). It's hypocrisy. The amount I received NEVER approached $237,000.

Literally my previous boss. He shamed me for having marketplace health insurance (he didn't offer insurance to employees) and then defrauded the government of $237k in PPP funds which he used to build a second home, a vacation home on the lake. He said "it's free money!"

I'd do it at 99. In fact, I'm adding "kill a pedo" to my list of things to do if I reach age 85. Idk if it should be before or after "try heroin". Probably before.

It's like a cross between a squash and melon, kind of watery and doesn't have much flavor. My exMIL in Mexico would cook it sometimes. While there, I also learned to cook and eat squash blossoms, yucca flowers, prickly pear cactus fruits (tuna) and leaves (nopales). They ate very local and very seasonal, the way it used to be here, and also planted the 3 sisters: corn, beans, and squash. The beans were habas, like a cross between a lima bean and a split pea, and the squash were round zucchini.

There's no fighting this with words. Dumb people don't care about words. Or logic. Or facts. Or science. They only care about actions and displays of strength. Everybody please stop talking and start punching. They behave like gorillas. If you tried to reason with an angry gorilla or discuss logic, it would still smash your head. Being outraged accomplishes nothing unless you take action.

There's a good idea for putting all the pibbles overflowing the animal shelters to work. They can be cabbies.
