Sometimes it's efficiency. You don't have time to bathe and wait for a horse to dry (can take over an hour) before riding. The vacuum can also be used year-round. You wouldn't want to bathe a horse if it's cold.

Had to look it up. Rhombus egg eaters (Dasypeltis scabra) are a non-venomous species of snake endemic to Africa. It's in the Colubridae family like milk snakes and rat snakes in North America if you're familiar with those.

No joke my dad called me one time asking what the bird was called he heard while hiking that sounded like it was saying "kill deer." I was like oh man you're not gonna believe this...

Takhi aka Przewalski's horses! Love them. Apparently they're only distant cousins of domestic horses. They have a common ancestor but aren't as closely related as you'd expect

Their biggest threats are really habitat loss/competition with space for agriculture. But there are a number of successful breeding programs worldwide that have already helped boost the population numbers

Is there another option for refinishing the wood with a darker stain? It'll go with your lighter countertops. That and an updated backsplash would make all the difference. Or - hear me out - what about only painting the top set of cabinets? The wood on the bottom would keep the space grounded.

Thanks for the recipe/reference. I thought @op was referring to the hilarious little girl who has a bake off with her neighbors through the fence

A warblers only account? Nice

Honestly, I do that sometimes. In my area it's the large hawk I see most often, so when it's too far away to identify I can guess it's a red-tailed hawk and I'm probably right at least 85% of the time. Sometimes it's just process of elimination and knowing what it's NOT. E.g. I know red-shouldered hawks will have the "windows" in the wings. And Cooper's and sharp-shinned are significantly smaller hawks. So yeah I hope that helps!

Where do I sign up for an international cookie exchange?? I would even homemake some of my best recipes if the delivery time is reasonable.

Not sure if you're just kidding, but it's a fair question, actually. And if it was a juvenile it wouldn't have the red tail, either, so that's not helpful. Red-tails are on the large side, and they usually have a pale chest and stomach with a speckled kind of "belly band" across the middle. In flight, they have dark shoulders. When perched, they usually have a distinct "backpack" look with a white patch in the middle of their back between their shoulders.

This is the movement approved for this competition. I assume if it were cheating it wouldn't be allowed. I also don't know how this lady is supposed to do a bunch of 10" negative handstand push-ups in a row without kipping

It's still most definitely a shoulder-dominant movement. The kipping movement with the legs are actually engaging the core to help, so it's really like everything but a leg exercise

When my schnauzer sits like this, I call it her lumpkin position

Yep! Since birds don't have teeth, their food gets ground up in their gizzard using these rocks.

My mom always sings the most ridiculous happy birthday song every year and I like to save them. I want to know if there's a way to save it as a sound file so I can have a more permanent version

#7 iirc it actually refers to whether or not you can see the ursa major & minor constellations. But also I love the mythology behind bears in general and how their name isn't really "bear" bc if you say the real name aloud it will summon them

Lol I did the same thing
