After a prolonged fast beyond 3 days, be aware that the water weight lost I. Days 1-3 will return at about a lb per day.
This is natural. Burning carbs requires insulin and insulin requires water.
You don’t lose weight on a 3 day fast unless you’re already in ketosis.

Start with Intermittent Fasting.
Have all your calories within an 4-8 hour window. (Breakfast&lunch or lunch&dinner) or 1 feeding per day.
After getting used to this, do a 1-3 day water fast.
The point here is NOT WEIGHT LOSS.
The point is improving insulin resistance, getting your body used to fasting - evolution gave you this skill.
After a few short fasts, you can go 5-7 days.
Or you can eat every second day.
I fast every Monday. Some do 60-70 hours each week to consistently progress.

The short: you have nothing but water, seltzer, black coffee/tea. Zero calories. You should also have 1 glass of water with a cap or ACV and a pinch of salt.
Drink a glass of water every hour or so.
- first 1-3 days you lose ~1kg water weight per day. From day 3+ you’ll burn 1-3 lbs body fat per day. This will slow the longer the fast.
But Start Slow! One does not take up running and enter a marathon.
