Greetings, random stranger/friend/sworn enemy! As the name implies, I believe I was chosen for this nerdy life which I love. Some may disagree about my nerdy credentials, others agree, and almost all say I'm weird. I believe it is irrelevant because a rose by any other name causes me to sneeze. I enjoy both solitude and company. I particularly enjoy meeting/talking to new people so holla if you've read this far. I sports hard at times. I enjoy drinking. I'm usually well-controlled when I engage in the aforementioned activity, but then there are those other times... Love the great outdoors (though the outdoors does sometimes kick my ass which, in what I suppose is a very BSDM relationship, I enjoy the aches and pains after the journey, too). I thoroughly derive great pleasure growing out my manly beard or foo man choo (unfortunately I don't always get a chance to unleash it to its full potential due to me having to operate in the wider world). I believe moderation in all things, including moderation itself, is a key to living a healthy, happy life. And if you're not trying to live a healthy, happy life and striving to make this world a better place, then what are you doing? I think I've written this whole thing out if, for nothing else, myself to reflect on who I am. I am betting no one has read this but that is okay with me. If you have made it this far and thought the above was 1) humerous (did I spell that right?) 2) thoughtful commentary on the human condition 3) seemed interesting in general, I do ever so hope you message me because you sound like a fantastic individual yourself! :) Go in peace and namaste. "...Henceforth I ask not good-fortune, I myself am good-fortune. / Henceforth I whimper no more, postpone no more, need nothing, / Done with indoor complaints, libraries, querulous criticisms, / Strong and content I travel the open road." - Walt Whitman, "Song of the Open Road"

Last thing, ECT is highly effective (upwards 90+% get response) and very safe. I would ask about that if you really are struggling.

Are lot of Med options/combos that could work for you. If you don’t like the ppl treating you, find someone else. You can get better! :) 2/2

As a mental health professional, I would encourage you to continue seeking out well-established, safe treatments. TRD is tough but there 1/2

Unless you get the wrong mushroom then you kinda die lol. SSRI/SNRI’s are all very safe. Talk with ur doc about which one works for you.

As a mental health professional, this is super important. Most drug addictions start by people self-medicating.

YES A SIMPSONS REFERENCE! This comment chain had it all! I can die peacefully now... But I'd rather later.

Simpsons reference??

Again, read the book. Those drugs shouldn't be used casually. It makes more sense to do them with a psychotherapist. Book describes that.

Read a book called "Acid Test." It's exactly what you're describing.

As a psychiatrist, these are pretty great (thanx for OC OP) but wouldn't say they're all super representative of the disease they depict.

http://www.apa.org/monitor/2012/04/spanking.aspx Here's a variety in a paper written by a psychiatrist but I'll prob get downvoted for this

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Anyone care to explain why I got downvoted for something a variety of psychiatrists came together and stated was wrong?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You should talk to someone about your abuse. It's not something to laugh off. You deserve resolution that's not at the end of a bottle.

Turns out it's a clip show S6E3 and then a clip show specifically about musicals in S9E11. (Shudders)
