I feel like if we've gotten to the point that one can't post a silly hamster race video with nothing harmful in it because it might be related to something harmful, we should just stop using the internet to share things at all. Especially on a platform that has essentially morphed from the neat shit and funny image repository it used to be to a doomscroll politics echo chamber

The way I read it, lawful, chaotic, and neutral are social, personal, or natural law, basically. Prioritize social rules over personal views, prioritize personal views over social rules, or prioritize optimal risk/reward choices. I mostly see it that way because of the neutral beast races being pragmatic actors more than emotional actors. But lawful is hard, because you've always gotta have a discussion about just vs unjust laws, as well as strict personal codes vs social norms

Have been the pick of the primary, but getting pushed into the giant hole Biden and the dnc dug with literally no time to campaign would have sunk almost any candidate

Eh, she could have done much better if she hadn't been in such a shit position. She had basically zero media presence despite there being a nonzero chance she'd be the next candidate for president, meaning she never got to sell herself as a real person. The actual leadership apparently thought they could repeat the "safe conservative grandpa vs racist alt-right grandpa" 2020 showing despite the obvious headwinds and the fact that Americans have a two month memory at best. I'm not saying she'd

Might have had an easier time if she'd had more than two months or got to start even instead of way behind after Biden ate shit at the debate. But the Democrat party is the party of self sabotage thanks to the galactic incompetence of the dnc

Homie, that metaphor was really bad, because car insurance pays out immediately and ss only pays out when you're over 60, presumably after decades of paying in. A closer metaphor would be having to pay off your home loan before you can move in, then showing up and them being like "lol we already sold it to someone else, thanks for the money dingdong, best we can offer is a two man tent".

Yeah, you didn't get chicken wings because they were the best part of the chicken, you got them because they're slathered in delicious sauce and 25 cents apiece

I think the idea is that it's looking bad to make a point, using trump's own style against him. They're counter-shitposting in his style because anyone who thinks it looks stupid either has to pretend it isn't or confront that it's literally just how trump posts.

While I am ashamed that this is what US politics has become, we're absolutely in a fight fire with fire kind of situation, and the gop is using some exceptionally stupid fire

Trump got numbers he didn't like, claimed the bureau of labor statistics was unreliable, fired the director, and replaced her with a crony. Assuming people are making stuff like this because they want to know just how big a lie the crony numbers are

LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU. HATE. HATE.

One of my friends joined the police after high school because he wanted to make a difference. Because he was smart, they loaded him down with three of the dumbest assholes in training and told him to carry them through all the academy tests because there's no way they'd be able to do it on their own. Point is, they've got cops who don't even meet their own training education requirements. They don't give a fuck as long as they've got the head count for their budget

Guess I assumed that checking my notes would be a highly visible indicator of disdain and sarcasm

How else am I supposed to get them flamingo knees?

Oh no! Democrats intend to *checks notes* adopt whatever scummy strategies the republicans decide to make acceptable. How very stupid of them

That'll be really cool for us in ten years when they actually start producing parts

I'm pretty sure a microwave with a hole cut in the bottom is less a helmet than a neat decapitation device.

Many people have always wanted someone else to do their thinking for them. Thinking can be hard and unpleasant, especially if you're not that clever. The problem is that we've created a very advanced chatbot with no actual comprehension of anything and couched it in the trappings of a conscious human expert. Pretty much the worst possible thing we could do

My bet is that it's another epstein smokescreen. Removing the articles from a website doesn't remove the constitution, and the legislature can't change the constitution without a virtually impossible song and dance. But you know what they can do? Remove a couple bits of their website, have everyone start freaking out about how they're going to install trump as dictator or whatever, and then put it back with a little whoopsie while the media storms and people generate conspiracies

Tbf, it might be easier to tell what was actually happening if the person hadn't rubbed Vaseline on the lens first

The way I understand it, just the right genetics. For sure some people's livers have enzymes that just obliterate ingested thc, but probably there's other stuff happening too. All I can say is that i get plenty high from smoking, but have felt nothing off of 4x the doses that laid other people out. I was also the guy who would eat a whole handful of mushrooms and babysit everyone else because I was the least affected

If a single court loss to an individual is 1% of their yearly profit, that could still make them think. Because that would mean a small number of claimants winning in court could totally obliterate their finances. Especially since it shows lawyers that their 10% for a couple years of work on one of these cases could be 20 million

I wouldn't be surprised if he did pay for it himself. Call it a $200 million renovation, don't pay anyone, keep all the money, block every lawsuit because it's related to being the president, claim a $200 million donation in taxes

As someone who has done exhaustive research and determined I'm functionally immune to edibles, this is an unfair expectation. But yeah, if you're going to do it right there out in the open where you're not supposed to be smoking, there are better options than just burning leaf

Sure, grow a pair is a phrase with some toxic connotations, but it's also just a generally ingrained phrase in the language that means stand up for yourself and be assertive. He is acting pathetic. Someone just crashed his car and he just takes it, then meekly follows the orders of the one who crashed it. We don't generally put the onus on the scumbag, because scumbags don't magically rehabilitate when you're already in a toxic situation where you let them roll over you.

I didn't realize standing up for yourself and developing self respect were toxic masculinity. This isn't demanding that he 'be a man and show the woman her place'. It's saying that he shouldn't just lie down and take that kind of disrespect from his partner. A common refrain for anyone in this kind of situation, regardless of gender

I don't know. It's possible that Disney realized they have to make things that don't suck if they want to make money. I haven't seen the new lilo and stitch, so I don't know if it's good, and frankly I don't care, but I've been hearing that recently they're putting out better content instead of just pinching off steaming logs as fast as possible.

To a limited extent foreign and domestic companies *are* eating the tariffs right now, but only to avoid hitting consumers with the sticker shock of basically all goods going up in cost by 15% overnight. They know that if they slow roll it over a longer time frame people will just accept the higher price and they can keep it at least that high forever, no matter what happens
